Holloko
Hollókő has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. The village's 67 protected buildings are characteristic peasant houses from the 17th-19th centuries, and the site is an outstanding example of a deliberately preserved traditional settlement.

This village is a living example of rural life before the agricultural revolution of the 20th century. The 400 residents of this village are Palóc, and in addition to their special dialect, they retain their folk traditions, crafts, songs, and richly decorated, colorful folk costumes.
