Overview

Spend an unforgettable day in the Puszta!

The Puszta or Great Hungarian Plain is covered with large ranches, and Magyar cowboys demonstrate their equestrian skills in the show.  UNESCO declared part of the Puszta, the  Hortobágy National Park, a World Heritage Site in 1999.

Visit the city of Kecskemét to see some nice examples for Hungarian Art Nouveau.

Enjoy a traditional horse show and a carriage ride in the Puszta and have a tasty three-course lunch with the hungarian apricot brandy (pálinka) accompanied by Hungarian gipsy music.

What To Expect

Kecskemet Town Hall
The Kecskemét City Hall is the house of the main administration of the city of Kecskemét, Bács-Kiskun County, Hungary. It was built in 1893.

The building was designed by Ödön Lechner and Gyula Pártos. The decoration of the building, which consists of Zsolnay tile patterns inspired by old Magyar and Turkic folk art, was the start of the National Romanticism movement, which culminated in the Museum of Applied Arts in Budapest.

Kecskemet Cathedral
Let's start our walk in the main square of the "Famous Town" that used to be the market-place for centuries. Here you can find the Big Catholic Church which is the largest cathedral in the Great Hungarian Plain built in the style of the age of Louis XVI of France. Looking down from the 73 meter tall tower you can see the panorama of the town.
